ConocoPhillips has always embraced university recruitment as a key hiring strategy.
Bringing new people with fresh ideas into our inspiring, entrepreneurial culture is vital to our future as an industry leader.
When you meet our University Recruiting Team, ask them why they love their work. Chances are that they’ll tell you it’s because they recruit for one of the world’s most forward-thinking companies, and get to meet today’s best and brightest young minds.
The spark of an enthusiastic and innovative spirit is a precursor for leadership at ConocoPhillips. We are proud to offer a broad range of career and internship opportunities that will help inspire your growth in areas like these:
In our partnership with campuses, we contribute to various student chapters and multicultural, military and disability programs; not just to pursue talent that aligns with our values, but also as a good citizen in the communities of which we are a part.
We are proud to have received these acknowledgments:
- Human Rights Campaign’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index score of 100, making us a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.”
- Forbes’ America’s Best Employer for Diversity 2021.
- Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies 2022.
Exciting full-time positions and summer internship opportunities are available for students and graduates who are ready to explore the endless possibilities here at ConocoPhillips.
All areas require a strong academic record and the minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with the exception of Geosciences and Human Resources which requires a minimum of a master’s or PhD. We look for individuals who model behaviors that define leadership culture at ConocoPhillips. These are Adaptability (coming up with fit-for-purpose solutions); Trust & Candor (working as one team with transparency); Enterprise View (making decisions with this mindset), and Accountability & Performance (taking ownership & keeping each other accountable).
Working in the United States
U.S. operations span both the Alaska and Lower 48 Business Units and corporate functions in Houston and Midland, Texas and Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The Lower 48 is ConocoPhillips' largest segment today based on production. We are Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest oil fields, both located on the North Slope.
