Job Summary

ConocoPhillips operates the Greater Ekofisk Area (GEA), comprising 5 separate producing fields: Ekofisk, Eldfisk, Tommeliten A, Tor and Embla, with total production of approximately 160 thousand BOE gross per day. In addition, ConocoPhillips is an active partner in 8 joint ventures operated by others: Grane, Breidablikk, Troll, Visund, Oseberg, Heidrun, Aasta Hansteen and Alvheim

Due to steady development and production maintenance activity in the Greater Ekofisk Area, we are seeking a motivated reservoir engineer to help further develop and maximize the long-term value of the assets.

The general purpose of the GEA reservoir engineer is to contribute towards actions that ensure optimum economic reservoir extraction from the GEA assets. Due to the size and complexity of the assets, reservoir engineering tasks are typically divided between several engineers with varying technical focus. Reservoir engineers rotate between positions depending on needs, skillsets, and career aspirations. Typical reservoir engineering tasks include well performance and regional waterflood analysis, construction and use of reservoir models, inputs to drilling programs, well planning and production forecasting.

GEA and Partner-Operated Assets offer excellent opportunities for long term functional and cross-functional development through close interaction across all subsurface disciplines.
