Job Summary

ConocoPhillips Norway is looking for the right candidate to join our Finance Team. In this role you will contribute and gain experience within key finance areas of the energy industry.

The Finance department of ConocoPhillips in Norway has 75 motivated and competent employees looking forward to a new colleague joining the team. We cover a broad area of tasks ranging from Accounting, Controlling, Financial Reporting, Tax, Business Analysis, Strategy & Portfolio Analysis, Treasury Services, and Economics & Decision Support. Digitalization and analytics are high on our agenda. The Norway organization supports ConocoPhillips’ business in Europe and North Africa. We have a large internal job market, and we focus on career development. We work closely with our Headquarters in Houston, USA.

Job Description

Areas of responsibility may include:

  • Budgeting, controlling, planning, forecasting, reporting & analysis of results versus objectives for selected areas of the business
  • Investment appraisal, strategic planning, and support to senior leaders to guide decision making
  • Ongoing follow-up of operations and drivers in the business unit
  • Optimizing business performance by identifying areas of improvement and participating in projects
  • Further developing performance management framework (e.g. dashboards & KPIs) to support strategic and operational progress
  • Active involvement in improvement projects related to the Finance function, including further development of routines and processes
  • Leveraging digital tools for performance management as well as continuous improvement of main finance processes
  • Ad-hoc financial tasks

Qualifications - what we look for:

We are looking for a candidate with relevant experience and a Master’s degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, auditing or similar, showing strong academic results. The ideal candidate has up to 5 years of experience from the energy industry, and strong system & analytical skills.

  • Proficiency with ERP/SAP, Oracle/EPM and Analytics tools

Work location

The work location is in our office in Tananger, outside Stavanger. We offer a home office arrangement.
