Job Summary

Position Overview

The Delaware Basin South Project Lead provides leadership and direction for construction, installation, and maintenance activities. We work together with members of the Operations and Engineering to safely execute our plans and support our zero-incident culture.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Onsite supervising and coordinating of facility construction, pipeline construction, location and road construction, compressor installation and pipeline repair in an assigned geographical area
  • Being able to work independently without supervision, guiding contractor on daily work activities
  • Directing all assigned construction, pipeline, and maintenance activities to ensure that work is performed in compliance with ConocoPhillips Safety Policies and Procedures as well as applicable environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinating with Engineering and Operations to achieve established objectives and to minimize interruptions to operations
  • Be able to write applicable permits as needed, work SIMOPS with Operations as needed on “Brown Field “projects
  • Be able to review LOTO packages for correctness, walk out process piping for LOTO accuracies
  • Involved in identifying, applying, and verifying the construction to ConocoPhillips design criteria and specifications
  • Review daily work tickets, invoices, verify billing, expenditures, and cost-control on assigned projects. Responsible for daily reporting in Caps Pad
  • Assist in the development of Project Execution Plans
  • Participate in P&ID and other instrument and control drawing reviews
  • Participate in process hazard analysis and constructability reviews
  • Complete all required documentation within the work packet and participate in project close outs
  • Training and/or auditing contract personnel on policies and procedures
  • Hold contractor accountable, be willing to “STOP” any unsafe acts
  • Be a Safety Leader
  • Willing and able to live and work in Kermit, TX

Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Valid/Current Driver's License
  • 5 or more years of experience in the oil and gas industry
  • 3 or more years of experience in direct maintenance or construction activities
  • Intermediate proficiency with P&ID and isometrics
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word

Preferred:

  • 7 or more years of construction/operation experience
  • 5 or more years of project management experience
  • Understanding of Well Control theories and techniques
  • Understanding of field operations and construction operations
  • Technical training, or equivalent operations and maintenance experience
  • Extensive operational, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance experience in Construction Base work settings
  • Takes ownership or actions and follows through on commitments
  • Listens actively and invites new ideas for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
  • Generates effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
