Job Summary

Alaska Overview
ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2023. The company produced an average of 195 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (MBOED) in 2023. ConocoPhillips Alaska holds major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest legacy equivalent per day conventional oil fields, both located on Alaska’s North Slope: Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips Alaska owns and operates several fields on the Western North Slope. The company also has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and owns and operates the Polar Tankers fleet.

Position Overview

The HSE Training Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and provision of day-to-day management of the Health, Safety and Environmental training supporting ConocoPhillips Alaska Business Unit.

Your responsibilities may include:

Database Administration

  • Manage HSE training profiles within COPA’s Learning Management System (Workday)
  • Support loading new course dates
  • Update training records manually as required
  • Ensure all regulatory and BU specific HSE training are provided

Manage HSE Training information

  • Maintain the HSE Training Matrix
  • Facilitate and maintain digital training content with subject matter experts using Articulate’s Storyline 360 Software
  • Conduct quality assurance on HSE training records

Manage Vendor Relations

  • Manage training content on internal (i.e., “The Mark”)/external training platforms (i.e., Alaska Safety Alliance, Extranet, ISNetworld etc.)

Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management, Learning and Development, Education or related field or foreign equivalent
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft O365 Applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams

Preferred:

  • 3 or more years of Health and Safety experience in the Oil & Gas industry and/or industrial operation setting
  • 3 or more years experience overseeing training programs
  • 1 or more years experience in external stakeholder partnership to deliver programs
  • 1 or more years experience with Learning Management systems, preferably Workday
  • Listens actively and invites new ideas for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
  • Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
