Job Summary
Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP) Summer Bridge 2 - is a University of Alaska program that targets first year university students currently enrolled in the University of Alaska and any campus location, in their first year as an engineering major and actively part of ANSEP. ANSEP Summer Bridge 2 is based at one of our North Slope work locations (Kuparuk or WNS) with limited time in the Anchorage office and offers up to 4 work hitches on the North Slope from mid-May through mid-August, students will work a 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off rotational work schedule. This program is designed to give students currently pursuing an engineering degree hands on exposure and experience in a field work location.Position Overview

ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2023. The company produced an average of 195 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (MBOED) in 2023. ConocoPhillips Alaska holds major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest legacy equivalent per day conventional oil fields, both located on Alaska’s North Slope: Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips Alaska owns and operates several fields on the Western North Slope. The company also has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and owns and operates the Polar Tankers fleet.
Basic/Required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Enrolled in the University of Alaska and currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering
- A minimum of eight (8) continuous weeks availability for internship
- Previously worked 1 or more internships in the oil industry
