Job Summary
The E&I Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the E&I maintenance team and is accountable for leading the Electrical, Instruments, Control Systems and Metering maintenance function to continuously support asset integrity and operational excellence without comprising HSE requirements, within budget and available resources, with the objective of meeting business unit goals.The role is expected to actively participate with the productions operations and engineering team and support other teams as needed, to develop and implement improvements initiatives to ensure operating units runs with maximum availability in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
The E&I Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Manager and this role is based in Kota Kinabalu (KK) in East Malaysia.
Position Overview
Primary Functions/Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate HSE leadership within the group to support ConocoPhillips Health, Safety and Environment policies to ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility.
- Accountable towards asset performance in terms of reliability and availability, ensuring all running to its intended functions and meeting its designed Performance Standards for both OCE and SCE.
- Lead in the preparation and management of the overall activities of providing the input to the development of the annual maintenance work program and budget.
- Ensure all contracts related to the maintenance of core activities are executed safely and in compliance with terms and conditions set.
- Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving asset and equipment performance and conditions in accordance with the Defect Elimination work process requirements.
- Verify PM/CM work processes and execution in ensuring compliance with the CMMS procedure and quality PM/CM reporting.
- Accountable as the first point of contact to provide necessary support to the site team to troubleshoot critical equipment upon request by the OIM and/or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Responsible in ensuring the required and in particular the critical spare parts and tools are kept in the onshore or offshore warehouse in terms of what spare parts and its quantity.
- Provide necessary support to assess the competencies of Electrical, Instruments, Control Systems and Metering engineers, offshore maintenance supervisors and technicians as and when required.
- Coordinate with internal audits to conduct maintenance audit on behalf of the maintenance department.
- Execute RCM work process and the tasks generated are complied with (through the Pm routines) to achieve the optimal maintenance activities with the purpose of reducing cost to a minimal level without jeopardizing safety and integrity of asset.
- Ensure minimal equipment downtime is achieved and hence production losses/deferment is minimized and suggest way and means to reduce maintenance OPEX. Lead to identify bad actors and workout resolutions to improve reliability and availability of the respective equipment.
- Initiate process and equipment root-cause analysis with site team and/or engineering support teams. Use the result to improve equipment reliability through effective PM
- Responsible in providing feedback / input to the Maintenance Manager to establish the annual work plan and budget (WP&B) for all electrical equipment and its related system maintenance services. Drive to achieve overall cost efficiency in operating and maintaining the equipment without jeopardizing safety and integrity of asset.
- Comply with HSE policies, Life Saving Rules, procedures, goals, and programs within the MBU HSE Management System.
- Actively engage in and contribute to HSE communication and consultation processes.
- Actively participate in HSE initiatives and programs that include but not limited to, Safety Observations and HSE Trainings.
- Support company sustainability development (SD) initiatives and other environmental policies and practices.

Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic Instrumentation or Control) or related discipline.
- Minimum 12 years related to engineering or maintenance experience of power genration, field Instrumentations, process control and automation of major equipment packages in offshore Oil & Gas field production and operation process.
- A hand on experience in the Oil & Gas (offshore) industry particularly on Power Management Systems, PLC's, Process Control Systems, DCS, SIS, FGS System etc is preferred
- Knowledge of Metering PM and Calibration is an added advantage.
- Conversant in CMMS and SAP System. Understand the concept of preventative and corrective maintenance and repair procedures
- Strong HSE drive and operational safety experience.
- Understanding of offshore asset operational and maintenance requirements.
- Understanding of technical scope challenges, contracting strategies, commercial and other uncertainties.
- Able and willing to travel offshore and internationally.
