Canada
ConocoPhillips is the world’s leading independent exploration and production (E&P) companies based on production and proven reserves, with a globally diversified asset portfolio.
Our story in Canada began over 100 years ago. Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, we are focused on developing our world-class portfolio including the Surmont oil sands project in the Athabasca region of northeastern Alberta and exciting opportunities in the liquids-rich Montney play in northeastern British Columbia.
Calgary
Our corporate headquarters is located in the heart of downtown Calgary, minutes away from the Stephen Avenue outdoor mall. A chic urban center nestled between the Rocky Mountains and the rolling prairie, Calgarians can enjoy a city lifestyle during the week and picturesque wilderness on the weekend. Calgary is home to the world-famous Stampede, contemporary galleries and a thriving nightlife.
Oil Sands
The gateway to Canada’s oil sands is Fort McMurray, a booming town in the midst of the Athabasca region. With a diverse community and strong entrepreneurial spirit, “Fort Mac” attracts people from all over the world.
Our operations staff at Surmont stay in the Surmont Regional Residence–a 600,000 square foot facility that houses everything from a huge dining room featuring great food, a fully-stocked games room, a state-of-the art fitness center, meeting rooms and television rooms.
Western Canada
In Western Canada, ConocoPhillips holds interest in the Montney play. Extending from beautiful northeast British Columbia to Alberta, this play attracts people from all over.
