Apprenticeship program
At ConocoPhillips, we have a tailored program for apprentices. Every year, we hire several new apprentices. Potential candidates are interviewed, laying the foundation for an offer to be included in the apprenticeship program with start-up in August-September.
The apprenticeship period offshore or onshore offers a two-year program, taking place after completing two years at upper secondary school. The apprenticeship period lasts until the final test for the certificate of apprenticeship has been completed. All apprentices will be offered a mentor throughout the period, in collaboration with the authorities’ guidelines. Becoming an apprentice within ConocoPhillips provides an opportunity to learn the discipline while also getting to know the industry and the company.
Relevant subjects may vary from year to year, and disciplines offshore may change between automation, electro, industry mechanics, crane operator, chemistry and process, mechanic, NDT control, telecommunications, and logistics. Onshore there are opportunities within information technology, logistics, office and administration.
